This single farm offering is from one of Kenya's first coffee farms, Nyeri Hill. This truly special place produces some of Kenya's finest beans. This coffee is a blend of 3 coffee plant varietals: SL28, SL34, and Riuru 11. Each selected for their vigor, drought resistance, and potential for producing an excellent cup. The flavor of this coffee reminds us of stone fruits and bergamot tea.

Nyeri Hill Estate is Rainforest Alliance-certified, which focuses on three pillars of sustainability—social, economic, and environmental. Along with cultivating coffees that shine, the farm also prioritizes long-term sustainability both from environmental and social perspectives. Profits are used to support academic development, professional growth, and community healthcare. And the leaders at Nyeri Hill are also focused on the reforestation of 250 hectares of their estate. This is a really stellar example of what a great Kenyan coffee can taste like. I am also thoroughly impressed with Methodical's ability in general to roast the coffees they buy in a way that does not obscure any of the characteristics that make those coffees unique. Overall, this is an awesome coffee from a clearly experienced roaster
Outstanding coffee, roasted by a master! Prepared via Chemex system, 55g/l. Smooth, subtle but with a wide-ranging richness and flavor varying across the palate. Reminds me of some Coffee Connection preparations from the mid-late 1980s in Cambridge MA. I hope this can become a regular item and that the farm can keep up the same standard. I also hope that the roasting details have been carefully preserved by Methodical! A must repeat!

I loved this coffee. I love the smell when you open the bag and the smell as I pour through the pour over. It is perfectly balanced. YUMMMMM.
