La Estrella is a hamlet within Acevedo. Acevedo is in the southeast of Huila, one of the major coffee producing regions of Colombia. This lot was constructed during a cupping competition David Stallings from Collaborative Coffee Source held in Acevedo in December. Producers delivered coffees and anything that met the physical criteria (a certain moisture and defect count), and also cupped 86+ was accepted into the competition. Everyone whose coffee got into the competition got paid very good prices. This coffee was constructed of six day lots from producers Jhon Wilmer Cuellar, Jose Humberto Rojas, Ruben Polania, Robinson Polania, and two lots from Wilmer Cuellar, for a total lot size of 43 bags. 24 of which came to the States, and the rest went to Europe.
