Our La Soledad from Guatemala bears a delightful combo of juicy, fragrant orange with a buttery sweet bread and milk chocolate. Think of it like a fresh fruit pastry in your coffee cup.
Where is it from?
Lucia Zelaya is part of the prolific coffee producing family that owns Zelcafe. With the Zelaya name comes a level of experience and ensured quality. Together with her husband Ronny, Lucia runs La Soledad. They have enacted an aggressive pruning routine on their coffee shrubs, cutting back on the possibility of disease and getting a jump on production volume. Their farming processes are also bringing about a decrease in the need for chemicals. With successful crop health and a striving for cleaner farming methods, La Soledad’s main challenge is profitability. The fluctuating coffee market keeps them constantly on their toes.
