When you find something dependable, you should hold onto it. This is the third year we've offered Lucia and Ronny's coffee from Antigua, Guatemala. And this year's harvest hasn't disappointed. If you're looking for a classic daily drinker, La Soledad is for you.
Where its from
Luicia, and her husband Ronny, come from generations of coffee farmers and have coffee cultivation in their blood. They run Bella Vista, a coffee processing mill in Antigua, and source coffee from local small producers. They also manage coffee estates where the owners are no longer capable of managing it themselves. They use their broad reach and deep experience to teach farmers on best practices such as aggressive pruning at the end of each year to combat disease, to make coffee picking easier for women, and to remove the need for chemical inputs.
For the Zelaya family, their coffee endeavors are not only about business; their aim is to provide a good basis for generations of their family and community to come. With this in mind, they are constantly looking for ways to provide jobs to as many families in their communities as possible, as well as supplying the best quality coffee possible to their clients.
